Abstract
This research is carried out in order to investigate the effectiveness of web and computer assisted instructions developed considering dominant intelligence type on Traffic Education in 4th grades of Primary Education First Stage. Website and educational software developed concerning dominant intelligence type were used by students within treatment process. ?Traffic Education Achievement Test?, ?Traffic Education Attitude Test?, ?Student Opinion Questionnaire?, ?Teacher Interview Form? and ?Parent Interview Form? were given within the settings of the research. T-test for independent samples was used to compare pre-test scores, t-test for dependent samples was used to compare pre-test and post-test scores, covariance analysis was used for attitude post-test scores related to Traffic Education course and adjusted according to pre-test scores, frequency and percentage distributions were used to determine students? opinions. Teacher and parent opinions were analysed qualitatively. Students involved in (WAI) were found out more successful in the activities included within the learning process of Traffic Education course compared to students involved in (CAI). Although the attitudes of students towards (CAI) were found out as positive, the applications carried out could not provide rapid changes on the attitudes of the students. The attitudes of the students towards (WAI) were found out as positive and also the applications carried out provided significant changes on the attitudes of the students. General approaches of students to (CAI) and (WAI) and their opinions on technical features of software were found out as positive. General approaches of teachers to (CAI) and (WAI) and their opinions on both instructions were found out as positive. Opinions of parents on (CAI) and (WAI) were found out as positive.
