Abstract
The Mexican Revolution, being one of the most essential stages of the history of Mexico, had many significant influences in contemporary literature. It is certain that the necessity to narrate the events of that time, for most of the writers of that period, is represented to reveal the authors? proper opinions and to emphasize the injustice of the power and the inheritance of an insolvent revolution. By their intimate contact with the town, it is a novel of the social revolutionary castes. The authors of such novels concentrate in reproducing the reality of Mexico which makes them understand and also be understood better such a time where the peace was an utopia and every single Mexican shared the same drama.Martín Luis Guzmán, one of the most extraordinary authors of this type of literacy, always tried to express his own critics on the political facts. The Shadow of the Leader which is his most important work, without a doubt, is one of the most coherent classic novels about the politics and its leaders that was written in Mexico. In The Shadow of the Leader the electoral fight in the post revolutionary period is narrated. The author gives his novel an aim to express the historical fact happened at the 3 of October of 1927 which is about the execution of fourteen political prisoners on the highway of Cuernavaca-Mexico in Huitzilac
