dc.description.abstractArguments favouring the existence of a fourth fermion family in the framework of the Standard Model are given. The masses of the fourth family neutrino, charged lepton and down quark are close to each other within an accuracy of the order of a few GeV and lie between 300–700 GeV. Experiments on the search for these particles are discussed.
